Finally! A website! But I’ll get more into that later. I want to get into the tester call first.
The Write Time’s first official tester call is live! If you are interested, please head over to the join page on the new website to read through expectations and find the link to the form to sign up. From there, look out for an email from me to get you onboarded onto the Write Time Discord server. There might not be much to test from the beginning as Writi is still a little baby sprint bot and I still need to get him hosted NOT on my own computer, but I will be so happy to have you there! You’ll definitely be getting more regular updates about what’s going on with Writi and the app in general if you’ve signed up to test.
The website!
This is the first time I’ve ever built something and then hosted it on my own domain, so this is very exciting for me, even though the website is quite simple so far. I maybe spent too long trying to get the light/dark theme toggle to work but I’m so happy with how it turned out. I also took the time to swap this blog over to my own domain as well, so if you’re reading this on the website, it’ll be at blog.thewritetime.app and not the beehiiv url anymore, but behind the scenes the blog is still using beehiiv! For now, I’m not looking to move the blog away from that.

Developer’s Log
I actually delayed the sending of this email a week thinking I could maybe get Writi properly deployed on Railway (if you aren’t familiar with Railway, think AWS but wayyyyyy smaller) so that I could say Writi was totally ready to go for testers and if you sign up we’re going to hit the ground running. But alas 😅. I had other stuff going on this week and when I did have time for Writi, it was all build and deployment issues that I’m slowly working through. It’s a lot of oh good I got past this error and now there’s another one. But! I am slowly getting past each one and eventually this bot will be able to move out of my test server to the official server.
